4/14/06:

Wow, a quick update!  Although there's not a lot to report right now.

I mostly was chiming in to say that I came across a Buffy podcast of three High School girls reviewing the show season by season. (You can find them here.)

In listening to it, I was reminded how awkward we were back in the old days.  We tried so hard to be professional and in the end, it just didn't work out best.  So we became ourselves and that was what hooked all of our listeners.

I wish them well, but I won't lie, it's very strange to listen to them.  Nothing about them personally, but having been in their shoes 7 years ago, it's strange not to feel, well, strange about it.  I don't know how else to put it.

Some good news on our old shows!  I found a company that will convert tapes into mp3 files.  There's a price, but it's worth it.  I did a little research in converting the tapes myself, but I don't have the time or patience to do it.  I'm going out on a limb in trusting them, but if they do a good job, then we'll have tons of classic SC to listen to for a long time to come! The first one being, of course, our second-ever show.  The first one was never taped, unfortunately.

So stay tuned for that, I'm excited about it!

Also, take a look at Kitty's adorable little man over there, pictures taken just last month.

Hope you're all well, love and miss you tons!

The Succubus Club ends.

"And remember kids, the vampires can't come in if you don't invite them."  Kitty's final words when The Succubus Club went off the air on September 1st, 2004.  After five and a half years on the air, the time had come for us to say goodbye.  New phases of our lives were beginning, Buffy and Angel had long since gone off the air, and it was time to hang up the headphones.  The final show was both exciting and sad.  We were able to do one final Kitty Torture (20/30, not bad!) as well as announce the winners for the Golden Fangs (found here).  We gave the quickest review of an Angel episode ever (Kitty loved it, me, not so much), GM Mike stopped by to provide most of the laughs and a wonderful trip down memory lane, and when the time came, I cried like a baby and we said our final farewell.  We even let Ethan talk.  If you missed it, head on over to the archives page and download the mp3, ever so graciously made by Listener Joel.  (sc #185)
