Last season one of our
listeners, Joel, made a generous offer to our listeners and made mp3s of
all of the shows, making them available to those who were unable to
listen live. It ended up being quite a blessing because our timing
isn't always convenient for people to listen. The files below are
courtesy of Joel (unless noted otherwise). Another listener, Kasakitis, was equally
generous and offered her webspace to host the archives because I was
running out of room on ours. Thanks to both of them, we're able to
offer these files to you if you missed an old show from last season!
Shows from 2000 & 2001
aren't exactly lost, I have them sitting in my closet on cassette tapes.
I'm going to look into a few offers we've gotten to transfer them to mp3
eventually. Hopefully sooner than later! In the meantime...
I'm also going to be adding previous updates from us in here, at least
those that have any substance.
3/16/06:
Thanks to a little nudge from Nick on our
mailing list, I realized I hadn't updated the site in a very long time.
But I had no idea it had been an entire year! My how time flies.
As you can imagine, things on the Succubus
Club front are very quiet, with this site acting simply as an archive
for years gone by.
Kitty is busy raising her beautiful son,
and my job keeps me busier than I ever thought I would be.
While I think we'd both love to do a
reunion show just to catch up with everyone, I believe Producer Ethan
has moved on from KLBC and our only means for doing so has passed us by.
It's been great to see so many podcasts
for tv shows pop up all over the place. While there's no way I
would dare think that we had anything to do with it, it makes me feel
really great that we were not only in on the ground floor, but we were
in the underground garage on that front.
Unfortunately, due to our schedules, Kitty
and I haven't been able to hang out as much as we'd like, but she did
send me some pictures of Logan last October that I (not surprisingly)
forgot to put up here. As you can see, I'm updating her corner
with the pictures today.
A couple of months ago, I was given a gift
of the Chosen Collection and I've been watching the episodes from
beginning to end when my schedule permits. I admit, it's gotten my
horribly nostalgic for the good ol' days. Can you believe it's
been 9 years since Buffy premiered?
We hope everyone has found something new
and exciting to watch or follow along and as always, we thank you for
all the love and support we've received over the years!
Take care, and I promise to update this more often in the future!
Candy :)
3/19/05:
As you can see to my left, Kitty sent in
new pictures today. And shock of all shocks, I put them up the
same day! Logan seems to be growing like crazy, and they all seem
so happy. Parenthood is certainly agreeing with them.
As for my little corner of the world, things are going well. Just being
a regular person, working all the time and too tired to do much else
when I get home.
There's been talk of doing a "reunion"
show of sorts sometime soon, so maybe we'll work something out for this
summer - if there's anyone still around! As well, I'd love to see
if we could get Fury on to talk a little about Lost, I think that would
be pretty cool. I'm pretty sure Kitty and I both watch that. ;)
Well, I gotta scoot. Not a whole lot
to update, we're just living our lives and doing pretty well. We
hope everyone else is too! Love,
Candy :)
Kitty - 9/19/04:
As I sit here thinking how I can
possibly put into words all that I feel and all that I am
thankful for, I find myself at a loss. How can I sum up in a few
words all this show has meant to me? First off, let me attempt
to begin by saying that this show has been a bright spot in my
life. Something to look forward to each week. And yes, there
were times when I didn't feel like doing it, too tired, too
wrapped up in my own life to even begin to think about Buffy and
Angel. But once I sat behind that mic, everything else seemed to
fall away and there I was, in the universe that I have called
home for so many years.
To say that I have met people through this show is an
understatement. I have formed relationships with so many
wonderful people from all over the globe, and for that, I am
eternally grateful. It's one of the reasons I kept going. I am
always humbled and amazed by the love, warmth and friendship I
have received from doing The Succubus Club, and all the thanks I
can pen doesn't seem to match how I am truly feeling inside.
Which brings me to all the emails that expressed 'thank you' to
Candy, Ethan and myself for doing the show for all these years.
From old timers to new listeners, I was touched and blown away
every time. It was hard to fathom that these heart-felt messages
were for us. It made me proud to be in the fandom and glad that
we continued doing the show.
So, after all these years of crazy talk, awesome VIP's and
incredible listeners I am sad to say good-bye.
To my friend and co-host, Candy: You have always been there for
me and you truly made the show what it has been all these years.
I know its greatness has come from you!
To Producer Ethan: You put up with so much of our crap :) but
you did it with a smile. You were an instant and perfect
addition to our show and we can't thank you enough for all you
have done. How did we ever get along without you?
To all the listeners: You have changed my life in ways you
cannot imagine, but then again, maybe you can :) Thank you for
listening, standing by us and for your continuous friendship,
comments and support, not to mention all the presents (mmmm, tim
tams, DVDs, GCs, etc...) and that beautiful notebook of good-bye
messages and pie recipes (thanks again Adam and Death is Your
Art!!!). And thank you from Logan, John and myself for all the
gifts and well-wishes both pre and post partum.
To the VIP's: Thank you for braving the freeways and coming on
our show not once, but for many of you, multiple times. Your
presence made The Succubus Club even more special.
As for my life now, I will be going back to work after 4
rewarding months of being home with my beautiful son. And while
I am glad to be going back to a job I love, leaving my son is
the most difficult thing I have ever done, my heart aches
whenever I am not with him. I can barely leave him for a few
hours now, let alone a whole school day. Wish me luck :)
Well, I guess that about sums it all up...at least I hope.
Much love to everyone...
Kitty :)
